A big Congratulations to Troy on his first PGA Tour Win at the Quicken Loans National August 2, 2015!
Troy Merritt was born and raised in a small Idaho town where he became an all-state high school basketball player. He represented the Winona State and Boise State University men's golf teams well, winning 21 total collegiate tournaments. After graduation, he followed a similar path as Kevin Streelman by turning professional on the Kodak Challenge.
Troy is known to be a winner. He has championed over 100 tournaments, and took the medal at PGA Tour Q-school to get him into his first PGA Tour event. He hasn't looked back.
In the 2014-2015 off season, Troy searched for an equipment manufacturer that offers world-class product and excellent service, along with a brand that he could grow with. As a multi-sport athlete, he was drawn to Wilson.
During his debut PGA Tour event as a Wilson Advisory Staff member, Merritt entered the weekend on the top of the Humana Challenge leaderboard.
Troy had his first PGA Tour win at the Quicken Loans National August 2, 2015!
